Welcome to the website of Boy Scout Troop 93. We are a very active Boy Scout Troop with approximately 40 boys in the Troop, divided into patrols for troop activites and events. If you are an 11-year-old boy (or fifth grade), or if you are a Cub Scout who is moving up to a Boy Scout Troop after earning your Arrow of Light, we invite you to join us. We have a copy of “Welcome to Troop 93” available for download. We plan our activities and our annual calendar well in advance so that you know about all of the upcoming events of our troop. Visit our photo gallery for pictures of our latest trips and activities, and our Parent’s FAQ. Please use this website as an additional resource for information about Troop 93 and our activities.

- Weekly Troop meetings are held on Monday nights at VFW Post #2718 on Lincoln Avenue in Franklin Square.
- The meetings begin at promptly at 7:30 pm and end at 8:45 pm. Boys are expected to be in full Class-A uniform at all troop meetings.
- Boys are asked to bring $1.00 weekly dues (even if they miss a meeting), and their Scout Handbook to each meeting.
- We ask that parents come into the VFW at the end of the meeting when picking up Scouts, so that we can make announcements, hand out paperwork and, more importantly, as a safety precaution.

In 2010, we celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America. We are proud that Troop 93 has been in existence for 86 of those 100 years.
Troop 93 celebrated the centennial of BSA at the Theodore Roosevelt Council Jamboree, held at Eisenhower Park, October 29-31, 2010. Although it was a cold Fall weekend, Troop 93 had a great time. Our Mountain Man Knife & Tomahawk Throw/Demonstration & Competition was one of the most popular events of the weekend.

For the past few years, on the annual Troop 93 Ski Trip, our Scouts have been welcomed by Pastor Richard Lenz & the congregation of the Windham-Hensonville United Methodist Parish Church, in upstate Windham, NY. These warm-hearted people have generously opened their doors to provide a place for our Scouts to sleep in their church.
On August 28, 2011, the Northeast coast of the United States was hit by Hurricane Irene. Even with all of the advance warnings about this huge storm, nobody could have predited how far-reaching the devastation would be. Upstate NY was hard hit, including the town of Windham, and surrounding communities.
Here is their story...

The official Boy Scout Class-A uniform includes the khaki tan shirt (with required patches sewn in place-see photo at left), olive green pants or shorts/BSA socks, BSA belt, Troop 93 neckerchief/BSA slide, and Troop 93 hat.
Boys are expected to be in full Class-A uniform at all regular Troop meetings, Courts of Honor, Memorial Day Parade, during travel and for other designated Troop activities.
The Class-B uniform consists of a Troop 93 T-shirt and olive green uniform pants or shorts/BSA socks, BSA belt, Troop 93 hat and is worn at certain troop activities, as directed.

For new boys joining Troop 93, the Mother’s Club provides each new Scout with a Troop 93 hat and Troop 93 neckerchief. The only insignia that carries over to the Boy Scout tan uniform shirt from Cub Scouts is the Arrow of Light Award. You will need new troop numerals, 9 & 3, for the left shoulder. (Still Theodore Roosevelt Council shoulder patch).
Before you go out to buy new uniform pants or shirts, check with one of us at a meeting. We have a uniform bank of outgrown pants, shorts and shirts that may fit your son. Please label all uniform and clothing items with your son’s name.
